XWe've got the A/C on!It's summertime in Texas, and we understand the burden of wearing a mask in our triple digit temps! But, in accordance with county rulings, we are now requiring masks for all humans that accompany their pets inside.

What to Expect

Veterinary care delivered with courtesy and respect for you and your budget!

As a new client of one of our Traditions Veterinary Centers family of hospitals, you can expect our full attention to you and your pet’s needs. Our animal clinics are unique to themselves, but they all share one common goal: to improve the lives of everyone we come in contact with.

When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, then invited into an examination room after checking in your pet.

In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet’s medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor. They may also get preliminary vitals from your pet, such as heart and respiratory rate and temperature.

One of our veterinarians will then perform a nose-to-tail exam on your pet, and ask you further questions regarding your visit before creating an estimate for necessary diagnostics. Most diagnostic tests can be run in our in-house lab, and are available in a matter of minutes. Once we have approval for tests (if needed), the tests will be perfomed while you wait in the exam room.

This is a great time to ask questions. Our veterinary team wants to make sure you’re completely comfortable with the information we’re providing.

Once we have the results, the doctor will share the test findings with you, along with a personalized treatment plan. A number of options with their associated costs will be listed in order to provide the best medicine possible. After your approval, your technician will begin performing or preparing treatment plan items.

Our veterinary technician will likely come back to wrap things up and will provide you with helpful pet care information and answer any wellness and care questions you may have. Our front desk staff will process your payment and schedule any needed follow-up appointments.

Please note: Our goal is to see all our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays. We will ensure these are minimized as much as possible.

We are excited to meet you and your pets!
